American actress Mary-Kate Olsen was born on June 13, 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California. Mary-Kate began acting in 1987, when she and her twin sister Ashley were given the part of Michelle Tanner for the television series called "Full House". Mary-Kate and Ashley shared the part until the series ended in 1995, and they used to be primarily credited as "Mary Kate Ashley Olsen" since the producers wanted the viewers to think that Michelle is portrayed by one person only.
After the conclusion of Full House, Mary-Kate and Ashley founded Dualstar, a company that produces a wide range of products such as movies, magazines, and television shows. Mary-Kate made several other television movies with her twin sister, including "To Grandmother's House We Go" in 1992, "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" in 1993, and "How the West was Fun" in 1994. Then Mary-Kate and her sister starred in their first big screen movie called "It Takes Two" in 1995.
