Gillian Anderson's life isn't so unlike her alter-ego Dana Scully in the 90's cult hit, "The X-Files." She doesn't run after aliens or anything, but she had lived in three countries (Chicago in the US, Puerto Rico, London in the UK) before she even turned eleven. Her family finally settled in the Midwest where she discovered her love for the theater after a brief period of rebellion.
The script of "X-Files" was dropped on her lap after guesting in Fox's "Class of '96," and she got the part of Special Agent Scully to the determined recommendation of producer Chris Carter. The part won her an Emmy and a Golden Globe, not to mention a good movie career.
