Sigourney Weaver is an American Hollywood actress. Her role as Ellen Ripley in the the movie Alien, earned her international attention. Her other famous film roles include Ghostbusters and Gorillas in the Mist. She also appeared in the films The Ice Storm and Working Girl. She was recently seen in Steven Spielberg's 2010 award-winning movie, Avatar.

She received three acting nominations for her roles in Aliens in 1986; and in Gorillas in the Mist and Working Girl, which are both released in 1988. Sigourney Weaver was hailed as The Queen of Sci-Fi Movies because her films mostly have science fiction themes. She stars in the movie Vamps, which is yet to be released in 2011.
