Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their first wedding anniversary this past week with a one of a kind party at one of the most popular spots in Las Vegas.

The couple, who got married in a surprise ceremony in the Bahamas in April of last year, arrived at the Palms Casino Resort's Palms Place last Thursday night to begin their anniversary bash.

The first portion of the celebrations included a dinner for 50 friends and relatives at the resort's banquet hall with candle-lit tables and a sign reading "Happy Anniversary Mariah and Nick!" The party continued at the Moon Nightclub where Cannon surprised Mariah with a video of the best moments of their short marriage and 1,000 balloons released into the sky when the Moon's roof opened.
