Madonna was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after falling off a horse in the exclusive Hamptons region outside New York.

The 50 year old singer was riding a horse at a friend's mansion's grounds when the animal got spooked and threw her. She suffered "minor injuries and bruises" and is currently resting at Gwyneth Paltrow's home in the area. Photographers have been blamed for it: "the accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes", her rep said.

But paparazzo Thomas Hinton, who had been snapping pictures of the diva all morning long, said when interrogated by police: "I arrived more than 10 minutes after the accident happened. I am certain there were no other photographers there before me."
