Gina Gershon, currently seen as Fabia of the US remake of the Mexican comedy hit, Ugly Betty, is remembered in what critics consider as her "campy" roles in "Bound" and "Showgirls." In "Showgirls" she starred opposite Elizabeth Berkley and played the role of bisexual Cristal Connors.

In interviews she said that it was she who shaped the character of Cristal, and for her efforts she was nominated Worst Supporting Actress in the 1996 Razzie's. "Bound" also exhibited the themes of sex that made and ruined "Showgirls," and for this, Gina won a nomination for Best Kiss in the MTV Movie Awards, which she shared with co-star Jennifer Tilly.
