About

Elle Macpherson was discovered by the Click Model Management while she was on holiday in Tasmania. She was then propelled to international stardom through her appearances in the high profile magazine ELLE. She gained more publicity when she graced the pages of Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit issue and modeled for Victoria's Secret. By 1986, she was so popular that Time magazine has decided to run a cover that had the title "The Big Elle". She was even offered a post for unofficial ambassador on the tourist commission.

Macpherson debuted her film career playing a role in Sirens in 1994 and also graced the set of the hit sitcom Friends for five episodes, acting out the role Janine Lecroix, Joey's girlfriend and roommate. Her acting career also includes filming for Batman & Robin and If Lucy Fell.
