Born in Chicago, Illinois, Daryl Hannah made her debut as a film actress by making a short appearance in a horror film entitled The Fury. Playing a mermaid in Splash established her image as a remarkable actress. She then landed major roles in Wall Street and Steel Magnolias as well as The Clan of the Cave Bear, and Roxanne. Empire magazine also branded her as number 96 of the '100 Sexiest Stars In Film History' in 1995.

Hannah also landed a role in Kill Bill Volume 1 and Kill Bill Volume 2 playing the role of Elle Driver. Aside from acting, she has also produced and directed a short film, entitled The Last Supper, which garnered an award at the Berlin Film Festival.
